Why the beads exist

Alpha-arbutin is fragile in water. In a conventional serum it starts breaking down on the shelf, which is one reason brands compensate by pushing the percentage higher than the research supports.

We took the other route. The delicate actives sit in a calcium-alginate and agar matrix — semi-permeable, suspended by a yield-stress gel so they never sink — and rupture under fingertip pressure at roughly 3.5 N. Full potency at the moment of use, at the dose that was actually studied.

Higher % doesn't fade faster. 2% alpha-arbutin is the researched dose. Not 10%.
